Reading Light comes on automatically Glo HD
As above, the reading light on my son's Glo HD turns on automatically and increases in brightness as the ambient light decreases, how can I stop this behaviour, cant see a setting for it. My one doesnt do this.
Thanks. |

Turn the device on and off. Failing that do a software reset. Failing that do a hardware reset. Your son is lucky

For the change later, there is no light sensor in the device. Again, whatever setting it is at stays the same until you change it. But, the darker the room you are in, the brighter the light appears. That is just how out eyes work. I frequently adjust the light level as I read. If I'm waiting for a train, it is probably about 30%. If I read in bed with the light out, it might be only 2 or 3%. I just run my finger up or down the edge of the screen while reading to get to the comfortable level. |

Agreeing with Davidfor. The Kobo light is not adjusting. Your eyes are adjusting.
My tablet has the same problem. If I use it in the car, I have to turn the light up. If I forget to adjust the light when I come in the house, it is super bright. The darker the room, the brighter the light looks. |

Is it possible that when you turn a page, you're making a small up/down movement at the edge of the screen? That would also trigger a brightness change.
