Setting the Yes/No tag AUTOMATICALLY?
I've looked around but can't find an answer to this.
I'm using the Yes/No tag to determine which books are shown in the content server. After checking the metadata and cover, I embed the metadata in the files then polish the books. Once I'm satisfied that everything is presentable I change the Yes/No tag to Yes, which makes it available in the content server. All that is fine. But.... When News is automatically downloaded I don't want to bother with all that, I just want it to appear in the content server automatically, but it won't because the Yes/No tag is not set. ![]() How can I make Calibre automatically set the Yes/No tag to Yes on all News downloads? |

You cannot. Simply use a more complex expression to filter out books in the content server, like this:
#yesno:true or (tags:=News and author:=calibre) this will (assuming your yes/no column is named #yesno match all news downloads and books that have yes/no set to yes. |

That worked beautifully! I also used that info to create a virtual library that shows only the News Downloads. Cool!
Thanks! ____________ Now if only there were a category of "News" on the home page that did the same thing without needing to create a virtual lib.... Maybe the developers can do that in a future release. (Just a thought.) |
