...with the external microSD card inserted in the Aura H2O, to switch between reading books that are stored in the internal memory and reading books on the SD card, without having to remove the SD card to do so?

All books in the main memory or on the SD card are added to the devices library. Last time I checked, there was no way to tell the difference while using the device.

So, you can't "swap" between them, you just choose a book and read it.

The Aura doesn't differentiate between built-in and SD card storage - it displays the contents in one list and you can certainly switch from a book on the internal storage to one on the SD card without having to jump through any hoops.

Easy way to find specific book in large Kobo e-reader library is by search for title or author. You can have Kobo library sorted by author, title, recent read/added, file size or file type.

With large number of books in my Kobo library I first find the book in Calibre.

Careful use of categories in calibre copied to the kobo can make books easy to find on the device if search on the device isn't helpful.

I ended up with too many categories so now just use search to locate books by title, author or series.
