my Calibre's library is corrupted. No problem... I can lose it. I have all my books in another HD. But what should I do to open again Calibre? If i try, it tells me that Calibre cant restore it. But I dont wanna restore it!!! I tried to reinstall the program too... But it gives me the same error. What can I do? Thanks |

Then when you start Calibre, it will not be able to find that Library and ask you if it Moved (not in this case) or make a new one (Yes) |

That's what I did.
I deleted the directory where the library was ("Biblioteca Calibre"). But if I start caliber, it continues asking me if I want to try to restore the old library. If I answer yes, it can't. If I answer no, he cannot create a new library. In both cases, program shuts down. |

So...
I deleted the directory where I had calibre's library. I deleted all metadata.db and metadata_db_prefs_backup.json files. I restarted Calibre, creating a new library. But he tells me that the position is not correct and Calibre will shut down. Other suggestions? Thanks, again |

![]() That was just a way to LOCATE libraries. I was going to suggest that you Start Calibre from the commandline using one of the other found Libraries. But that is to late now ![]() Since you are into destruction. Delete the Calibre configuration folder. That is where all preferences, last used and search history. With that gone, you will be starting over with all your settings You said your books were on another HD? This was your Library? The drive letter may have changed if it was detachable. I suggest that you use the OS to reserve (assign) a single letter. (I used L: ![]() |
