Korean web comics generate $295 million USD in 2015

Based on the webtoon service’s remarkable success and growth potential in global markets, NAVER initiated its service in the U.S and worldwide and launched its website and app as LINE Webtoon.
It launched the English version last year. It's free to read (both the English and Korean version). It makes money through advertisements.

As for relation to ebooks, web comics is a form of digital books. So I hope this post can stay in this forum.

Did some research and it is on another website. Also licensed from the authors so the authors do get royalties from it.
