Hey Slayda!!!

I met your cousin, Sandra, at the party in Llano tonight!!! She's nice! I got a bit plastered ... and then the people I was with (the Moons) and I went to some club in town where I got even more plastered ... so I'm going to bed now, but I had to say, your cousin is really nice!!

I knew she'd never remember my name .... so if she says she met the Armadillo ... well, then you'll know who that is!!

(Man alive ... I use "!!" and "..." a LOT!)

Oh, "Mrs. Moon" (known as MaMaw) didn't go to the party ... just the Moons of my generation. Sadly, it is extremely hard for Mrs. Moon to move around. She has a lot of health problems.

However ... the Kindle I got for her arrived day before yesterday, and I'm getting it all set up for her today.

The party was so much fun, and afterwards a bunch of us went to this place in Llano called the "Badu House" which had a great band playing. One of the best nights ever!!

She remembered both Ricky and "Mrs. Armadillo". Emailed me when she got home. Apparently didn't party as much as you did.

"Mrs." Armadillo?? Heh .... I just told her to remember "Ricky the Armadillo." But, nice of her to give me a more formal honorific.

So, my friend (Sandra Moon) and I are already planning our next foray over there. We saw all sorts of stores we want to check out, and your cousin told me about an artist that has some paintings over at Crazywax, so we're going to check that out as well.

Your cousin got to the party a little late. I already had two glasses of wine in me before she arrived. Then (as I recall) I had a third while talking to your cousin, and then I had two Long Island Raspberry Ice Teas over at the Badu House (which were really good, by the way), so by the time I got home I was really snockered.

They had these metal garden bugs (bees, ladybugs and butterflies) that they gave out as party favors. I managed to collect about ten of them ... now I just have to find a cat proof place to hang them.

Some of the people who will be moving into the valley soon were with us, both at the party and at the Badu House. So, they got told of the long standing "secret" of the valley, to wit: if you want something outrageous done, but are much too conservative to do it yourself ... then just dare Ricky to do it. If you do it yourself, and it goes South on you, then just blame the outcome on Ricky. It's a big responsibility you know ... but I'm up to it.

OK .... here are photos .... They have jinglebells in them, so if you hang them on a tree ... they jingle when the wind blows.

I don't know if they would scare a bird or a squirrel. I think they are more just for a wind chime effect. I'm just going to hang them ... either from the trees or possibly from the porch rafters.

The local cops around here have no sense of humor when it comes to squirrels and shotguns. Something about high density residential areas and firearms...

Didn't ZP have a death ray gun? Maybe you could borrow it, if it fires silently.
