Calibre Error
Hi, I've just downloaded and installed Calibre 2.50.1 on my windows 8 pc and whenever I try to launch it, I get an error like this:
Pyhton function terminated unexpectedly. (3, 'CreateFile', 'The system cannot find the path specified') (error code:1) I have uninstalled calibre, deleted the calibre2 file in the C program files folder, rebooted my pc and then reinstalled the program but it still gave me the same error. What I understand so far from looking this up is that there is a problem about environment variables? but I have no idea how to fix it. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. |

That indicates that the location of your calibre config directory is set to a drive that ios not writable. You can control it by changing the CALIBRE_CONFIG_DIRECTORY environment variable as described here: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cust...ment-variables
Set it to some directory for which you have write permission, like a directory inside your home directory. |
