YJF YJR format
Just purchsed a book for my kindle paperwhite. When I connect to Calibre it does not appear in the 'on device' list so I cannot add it to the library.
Using win file explorer shows YJF and YJR files instead of expected MOBI or AZW Any ideas ? |

Which windows?
Did you look in your documents. It will be in the kindle file. Also how did you send it to the computer? Or did you send it straight to the paperwhite? |

YJF and YJR are auxiliary files associated with Amazon's KFX format. (YJ refers to Yellow Jersey, the code name for the project.)
Calibre cannot handle that format, but you can use the Manage Your Content and Devices page on Amazon's web site to download the book in a more usable format. |

In that case, go back to Amazon and manage my content. Use the transfer via computer.

If those are KFX auxiliary files, then calibre should see the KFX itself.
(calibre will display an error message explaining that KFX is a "virtual" book and to download the book into calibre you should go to http://amzn.com/myk.) |
