Amazon Gadget Support Thread

I have an inability to resist any electronic device put out by Amazon. I have multiple FireTV sticks, 2 Echoes, multiple PWs, a 3d generation Fire and a 5th generation Fire. And I just bought the Dot and the Tap. They just price this stuff at a point where I can't resist.

And these things don't get used all the time. The PW got shunted aside for the 5th generation Fire. I will be using the Tap in the basement when I work out-I have no idea what I will be using the Dot for, but I couldn't resist. And yes, I am completely within the Amazon garden. I will buy a movie from Amazon before DirecTV. The only thing Amazon doesn't have is live sports. If it did, I would cut the cord. I did so at our vacation home, saving $600 a year. The FireTV sticks and the Echo are just a fraction of that.

Anyone else unable to resist Amazon? I am afraid they are going to come out with an 8.9" Fire with an SD slot and good resolution, and I will be hitting buy again!

Not necessarily for their gadgets but other stuff can sure pull me in.

Since you can just click and a new potholder shows up the next day, I have been abusing that, as well. But the electronics is what I really am jonesing for.

I like Amazon devices too, but not to the exclusion of devices from other manufacturers. I shop by price and features from brand names only.

Outside of my computer, my favorite device is the very innovative Amazon Echo. Right now I have my eye set on the Echo Dot; but it's priced too high, so I won't be getting it.

If I hadn't just recently bought a Fire HD 8, I'd be highly vulnerable to the Dot. I do love Amazon gadgets, but I spread my gadget love around because I love everyone else's gadgets too. I have:

Fire HD 7
Fire HD 8
Fire TV
Echo
Android phone (Moto E, because it's the one with FM radio)
iPod Touch
Dell Venue 8 (Win 10) tablet
Dell convertible laptop (I count anything with 11" screen or smaller as a gadget)
... and probably something I'm forgetting.

I really want one of the AmazonBasics bluetooth speakers but I went with one of the really cheap ones instead and I've been regretting it ever since. I'm not allowing myself another gadget until the end of April so that will probably be what I get then.

(Mine's pre-ordered, btw. I was hoping to sneak it in with a gift card but there's a good chance it will get delivered while we're away and tattle tale son will be watching the house and wondering what's in my box!)

Same here, but Monkey says they cost too much, so I'll wait for a Black Friday sale on the Dot.

I have my new Fire HD 8, and my Fire HD 6, my daughters each have a Fire HD 6, and I bought one for my mother. (I also bought her 1st gen Kindle Touch, but she doesn't use it any more). I bought my MIL the HD 7 (2015). Oh and I got my youngest daughter the cheap new Fire. Also have a Voyage, a Fire TV, and a Fire TV Stick.

Their slick advertising has been my downfall more than once!

Oh, I forgot. Also have 2 Fire HD 7 (2012 edition) both running n2a android, and 3 Fire phones!!!

ETA And yes we have the Echo, too. How did I forget Alexa?
