Greatings everyone. I would like to introduce myself and announce that I have just become the owner of a Sony reader PRS-500. The Sony store at the Camarillo Outlets have refurb models for $145, could not pass up on that. Now I shall start looking around for guides on getting my ebooks formated correctly for my reader. Thanks.

Welcome! You've certainly come to the right place. There are whole forums devoted to Sony, and be sure to look at the hundreds of books already lovingly formatted for your Sony. In the blue bar up top, select "e-books." And at the very top, select "wiki" and you will find more info than you will ever need about your device.

Thanks for the welcome. I already have some books loaded, from H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, Bram Stoker, and George Orwell.

Welcome fuma218. I'm in California too. Hope you have good air where you are. I'm still getting smoked.

Anyway, I've recently tried a software Calibre that I discovered through this forum. It's free and does a splendid job of formatting for Sony.
