As a small Amazon stockholder, I would like to go with Kindle. The price and most of all the tacky book light annoy me. Color would be nice. I am hoping to find an alternative here. I am starting to have vision issues. We are retired, so cost is a factor, however I consider reading a necessity, way ahead of fashionable clothing and home furnishings.

Welcome! Just explore a while around here and you will almost certainly find something you like. BTW, we are planning a get-together in north Alabama in a couple of months, so hopefully you will join us.
