Yes, it can, but most PDFs are formatted for a much larger page size (normally A4 or Letter size) than the page size of the Kindle, which will make it very unpleasant to read on a 6" Kindle. You'll have to manually scroll each page from side to side, and up and down, in order to read it.
Just copy the file into the "/documents" folder of the Kindle. You really need a large-screen device to be able to read PDFs well. I use my iPad, with a 9.7" screen, which works beautifully. |

I forgot about that.
I'll just stick to my 8 inch galaxy. |

PDF works just like any other type of file supported by the Kindle reader.
![]() I would use the K5, it's newer so it will probably perform better.... k2pdfopt will resize it to fit the Kindle's screen, which will probably be necessary and probably mean the difference between reading the PDF and giving up in disgust. |

Just wanted to update you guys.
The pdf was not bad to read in the truck but no workable table of contents and the search function told me no such items when I typed in a word I knew was in there. I will be so glad when the paper version gets here. It will be about 10 days. It is an owner's manual. |

Well, on the search function I would guess the PDF was images with an OCR layer. That can mess up searching.
