Looking for book based off of genre requests
Okay, so... I'm kinda new to this forum but I'd appreciate any help you can offer...

These are the kind of genres that I'm interested in (they are going to be ranked by importance but the book in no way needs to me all of the read(but a lot is good))
1. Action/ Adventure
2. Light(ish) romance (not like a romance novel, I just want it to be present)
3. Main character is a guy (I'm a guy) (not a crazy romantic)
4. Main character teleported into another world/ wakes up with no memories ETC
5. Fantasy/ Science Fiction
6. Young adult?

Have a look at Baen's Free Library for fantasy and SF. You'll find entry points for at least half a dozen major series and all of them are very good. The Free Library was created after Eric Flint suggested it, and it's fully legal. They hook enough new series followers to make it very good business!

JSWolf: You misunderstand me. I meant those books meet all Wamlab's criteria except the ones numbered (ie. Curse of Chalion meets all his criteria except amnesia/other world.)

Although when we talk about series: The rest of the Amber series (5 + 5 books) are nowhere as good as the first one, in my opinion. The first one is great. The next four are good. The next five are more-or-less OK.
