I guess that's great for people who like to read on large devices. Too bad the "reader's edition" isn't an 8" e-ink reader.

Not enough information! Does it have TTS? How long is the Battery Life? Looks like a Back Light reader instead of a Front light reader. & IS it Just a Reader? WOW its priced way too high!!!

All current Fire's have TTS. It's a tablet, so yes it has a backlight.

Not a price I would pay (but I'm also not in the market). It's a $150 tablet and a $120 Kindle Unlimited subscription, so they're hitting you about $80 for the "limited edition" leather cover.

Seems to be a standard Fire HD8 with slightly tweaked firmware to provide a blue light filter, which Amazon have said will be rolled out to other Fire models.
