I saw that and like you, saw no advantage. All you have to do is link the audiobook's page and they can play the sample from there.

I don't get it either. I suspect it is a marketing thing, i.e. the marketeers thought it would be great to have. I would have preferred something that I might use, like play list, cough, cough.

I haven't tried this Clip feature, but it *might* be useful to send a clipping to one's computer naive parent (or grandparent, if you are young!) who would be flummoxed at trying to find a "sample" link if you sent them to the audiobook page. cough .... my mother ... cough

Not that I've even tried her on audiobooks yet, but I have been thinking of it.

The sample starts from the beginning of the recording. The clipping can be any 45-second segment from the audiobook.
