chm2epub

Since now SONY 505 supports epub format, is there a chm-to-epub convertor that I can use to convert the many chm books I have? Or even better, will SONY support chm format natively in the future?

Native support -- I'd guess highly unlikely. Perhaps you can run xchm on OpenInkpot someday, but Sony has no good reason to support it themselves. A CHM to epub converter shouldn't be too hard to write, especially as calibre's epub support gets stronger. At this point it might be easier to get a chm2lrf working, but in either case it should just be a matter of extracting the HTML from the CHM and then providing the metadata such that the automated conversion/packaging tools can do their job.

You should try it .
