Swan Song by Robert McCammon

Swan Song by Robert McCammon is probably the best book about the apocalypse I have ever read. Can anyone recommend similar books? Thanks.

How about Cormac McCarthy's "The Road".

Agreed. It's totally different than Swan Song, but I loved this book.

It's a big, thick, juicy book.

The Postman by David Brin is really good. Not too heavy. A good fast read and it's not hopeless or depressing. I think they made a movie of it with Kevin Costner.
