Kindle "unlimited" limitations?

Hi,
I've read about several limitations with amazon kindle here and there. I am highly interested in amazon kindle, especially due to the kindle unlimited service. Since I already have a kobo mini, I want to know if it's worth it to buy a kindle.
Kindle unlimited only enables you to have 10 books simultaneously on the kindle. Is it not possible to copy the ebooks on your hard disk, so to overcome that limitation, and then copy the book back to the kindle?

Why do you want to steal those books?
Kindle Unlimited is for borrowing books. You can borrow up to 10 at a time. Then return and get more.
Now Amazon does have free books everyday.

If you buy books, you can have as many as will fit on a kindle.

I did not buy my Kindle for the Kindle Unlimited program, but most of what I read now on my Kindle are Kindle Unlimited books. So, yes I would buy a Kindle e-reader for Kindle Unlimited. In particular, because there are no really good e-reader options for scribd another library type reading service.

However, if you are the type of person who enjoys a handful of authors and that's all you are interested in reading then I would be wary. Kindle Unlimited is populated mostly with independent writers and writers from smaller publishing companies. I have no problem at all finding books I want to read and normally have about 20 in a wish list besides the books on my Kindle. So I always have a fresh list of books I have not read on my Kindle.

I am not sure what your concern is with the ten book limitation. As soon as I complete a book I return it and replace it with another book from my wish list. There is no means I know of to copy to a hard disk, but then I've never tried it not seeing any reason to.

Hope that is helpful

Unless you desperately need to read more than 10 books simultaneously, I don't see why you feel the need to circumvent the restrictions.
Note: I get funny looks all the time for being in the middle of several books at once, switching between them but I've never gotten into the middle of over 10 at once kind of overdoing it if you ask me.

You can only borrow 10 books through KU at a time (but you can switch those out as often as you want).
However, you can certainly buy as many as you wish, and keep them all on your Kindle -- limited only by the physical storage capacity of the device (~3500 average-sized books).

KU books work like library (OverDrive) books, which is to say that Amazon will message your Kindle to delete the book with that ASIN once you've returned it.
You don't get a choice.

Regardless, MobileRead does not condone theft of library/KU ebooks, however it is justified.

Doing so can be grounds for a permanent ban -- I'd avoid going near such lines of inquiry.
