I've received everything from 4 star reviews to stinging criticisms for this story - don't you just love your writer friends?

After quite a lot of consideration, I have altered the beginning (only slightly) to make the main character's motivations clearer - so if anyone downloaded it you might want to update the version you have through Kindle ....

please let me know if you think it's an improvement.

Well I didn't get any feedback from this forum on the update I posted for Written On The Apple Tree but I got a great review (on Goodreads). Here it is -

To say that written on the apple three isn't my usual read would be an euphemism: I don't do short story. I specifically don't do short short stories, because they are usually not long enough to get a good characterization or much of a story there.
Girdharry just put me on my ass and nailed my prejudice there: The story is gripping, well written, mysterious, romantic and makes you want more.
