No more send to Kindle

Did I miss some news? I've searched the forums, but can't find anything. O'Reilly Media just sent out an e-mail saying:
Amazon is pulling the plug on our "Send-to-Kindle" feature tomorrow, so we asked ourselves, "What can we do for our Kindle ebook customers?" The answer was clear: hold an epic, site-wide sale so you can stock up on ebooks while it's still one-click easy to send them to your Kindle. And that's what we've done.
Is it going away? Does this affect all publishers, or just O'Reilly?

I've seen nothing about them "pulling the plug" on the service overall. They are limiting it for publishers and the like to a certain number of emails from them a month or something like that and perhaps that is what O'Reilly is referring to? Something along the lines of what was discussed about Baen here...

OK, so now the ebookstores have to send the customer the file and the customer has to send it to his Kindle, or sideload it, or whatever...

Sideloading my O´Reilly purchases isn´t a big deal. It won´t stop be buying directly.

I hope this doesn´t impact the free klip.me service. I don´t use the feature that often, but when I do it is really appreciated.

Yeah, that's nonsense.

There are a bunch of ebookstores that still have it, including Smashwords, StoryBundle, etc:
