V4.2.3 beta channel release

V4.2.3:

• Updated language: German, French
• [BUG FIX]Fix very rare crash in cloud connections when returning to the main view
• [BUG FIX]Fix not displaying correct text in the book list view if a book has no cover, not even the default one

Note that calibre V2.38 (released 11/Sept) contains a bug fix affecting how updated book files are synced with CC. Before the fix it was possible that books could lose their cover thumbnails. The bug only affected books sent because the "Sync newer book files" option in CC's "Other" section is set.

in this Version 4.2.3 I think there is a bug. The Dialog 'Reset hidden Dialogs' has no function.

It works for me. For example:

• Open the grouping drawer and tap search. I see an explanatory dialog.
• Check the box "Don't show this dialog again" and tap "Continue", then "Cancel" the search dialog.
• Tap "Search" again. I do not see the explanatory dialog.
• Go to Settings / Other and tap "Reset hidden dialogs". CC shows a message for a short time saying that the dialogs have been reset.
• Tap Search and the explanatory dialog will show again.

Why are you saying it doesn't work? Is there a specific dialog that isn't coming back?

Sorry, I was wrong. I was looking at 'always show metadata'. Tapping on 'Show dialog on book tap' brings the right dialog up.
All works fine
