Unaccented Search for non-English GUI?

Dear Kovid,

Could you consider supporting unaccented characters matching accented characters search in non-English GUI? The reason behind this is I can't type Vietnamese in Kindle Paper White to search in Content-Server.

Or is there a way to run the Content-Server in Vietnamese GUI while keeping the main Calibre in English GUI for such feature?

I'm confused you want to use different languages for the server and main calibre user interfaces? Why? Does that even work? IIRC the server uses the same language for tis interface as is set for the main calibre program.

I have no problem with English GUI, but some of the family members do. I've been contributing translation to the Content-Server (and Main Calibre) for this reason. And in fact, I created several custom columns with VN titles and all metadata are in Vietnamese, then the only 'foreign' things are the English column titles and boxes.

In Android devices (Chrome), everything is fine

I dont think its possible to do this. You have to pick one interface language.

Guess I can live with it!

Yet, I'd like to bring another issue to your attention.

Now that I have two formats: AZW3 and EPUB. Tapping on each of these formats gives the two choices: read or download. It's nice.

But tapping on the default Read button (on top) doesn't ask me which format should be selected, but AZW3 is the one.

Sorry for frequent 'complaints' as I am exploring the Content Server.

The format used for the read button is whatever yo uhave set as the output format in the main calibre preferences.

So if I have epub then convert it to azw3, I will have to convert again to epub so that the button will read epub? Every books?
