Has anyone used Read-In-Store recently?

Read-In-Store hasn't worked reliably or consistently at my store since at least October 2015. The store manager keeps calling support, and they act like it's a brand new issue rather than an ongoing problem. They'll get it up and it will be down again in hour, two, a day. Sometimes it's down for weeks, then is only up for a day or two, then down again for who knows how long. My local store is in Evansville, Indiana. I've traveled a lot the past few days and have tried three stores in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as Lafayette, Indiana and four stores around Indianapolis. Read-In-Store didn't work at any of them.

Is anyone aware of Barnes and Noble stopping this feature? They still show it as a feature on their Web site. Has anyone successfully used Read-In-Store recently?

Thanks.

I thought they discontinued RIS in favor of their new reading bites. Since I bought a generic Galaxy Tab S2 last year, I haven't been eligible for RIS unless I took my old NC in. RIS was the last, only possible advantage of a BN branded device. From your experience, that's gone, too.

RIS is a feature which will now either work, or it wont. Doesn't matter which Nook device you use as long as it originally had support for RIS it -can- do it still. That doesn't mean it -will- always do it.

BN basically dropped actual support for it when they launched the Glowlight Plus which had a similar feature.

You also likely wont get a straight answer from a BN employee because their corporate offices don't actually tell them any of this stuff.
