Calibre is not immediately detecting Samsung Galaxy Tab 4
I just upgraded to calibre version version 2.36 and had problems getting it to detect my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. Restarted calibre in debug mode and also went to preferences>misc>device debug & have following response.
calibre 2.36 isfrozen: True is64bit: False Linux-3.13.0-61-generic-i686-with-debian-jessie-sid Linux ('32bit', 'ELF') ('Linux', '3.13.0-61-generic', '#100-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 29 11:22:15 UTC 2015') Python 2.7.9 Linux: ('debian', 'jessie/sid', '') Successfully initialized third party plugins: DeDRM && Reading List && Manage Series && SmartEject && FanFicFare && Goodreads && Quality Check && EpubMerge && Overdrive Link && Derive_Genres && Barnes & Noble && Goodreads Sync && Count Pages && Modify ePub && EpubSplit && Overdrive Link USB devices on system: [['0x4e8', '0x6860', '0x400', u'SAMSUNG', u'SAMSUNG_Android', u'300487e191a57100'], ['0x5b8', '0x3280', '0x100', u'PixArt', u'USB Optical Mouse', u'']] No disabled plugins Looking for devices of type: MTP_DEVICE MTP devices connected: USBDevice(busnum=2, devnum=15, vendor_id=0x04e8, product_id=0x6860, bcd=0x0400, manufacturer=SAMSUNG, product=SAMSUNG_Android, serial=300487e191a57100) Trying to open: USBDevice(busnum=2, devnum=15, vendor_id=0x04e8, product_id=0x6860, bcd=0x0400, manufacturer=SAMSUNG, product=SAMSUNG_Android, serial=300487e191a57100) Opened Bryan McDonald (tab) successfully Storage info: [{'capacity': 5044367360L, 'freespace_bytes': 967270400L, 'freespace_objects': 4294967295L, 'id': 65537, 'name': 'Tablet', 'removable': False, 'rw': True, 'volume_id': 'SECZ9519043CHOHB'}, {'capacity': 7938441216L, 'freespace_bytes': 5931991040L, 'freespace_objects': 4294967295L, 'id': 131074, 'name': 'Card', 'removable': True, 'rw': True, 'volume_id': 'SECZ9519043CHOHB01'}] Restarted calibre and finally detected my Samsung. Having to do this every time I use calibre since latest update. Missing the auto detect that previous versions had. |
