M96: Prevent SD scan: best reader app

Hi all,

1. Is there a way to prevent M96 scanning the SD card for documents? Every time I switch on the device, it takes approx. 15 minutes for my PDFs on the SD card to get displayed in the "Storage/Ext" section (about 15 GB there, most of it document-type files). I have all the "book scan" options under "Settings/Preferences" unchecked, except "Scan only the books folder in the internal storage".

1. What is the best reader app in your experience? This is just out of interest, just if you care to answer. I must confess I didn't search beforehand, so nothing or an optional link to a reference would be totally enough. Thank you .
