WisperSync for voice ready.....not?

I just got off the phone with Audible (Amazon) customer service with a perplexing issue.

I have a good number of Urban Fantasy book series that I enjoy and have purchased.

I am finding that more often now Audible books are coming out unsynced. I have become a fan of the Sandman Slim series and their latest book came out unsynced.

I called customer service and they told me that it is a difficult process and they are not doing it all of the time.

The Rep told me that she will submit a request that the book I called about be synced and for to check Audible once a month and hopefully it will get synced.

that's nuts!

The Book that I called about: "Killing Pretty: a sandman slim novel"

has anyone else has the REAL reason why this happens?

I've been noticing a lot of new books that aren't Whispersynced. I had been thinking that maybe it depended on the publisher, but I haven't looked for a pattern.

Here's what Amazon has to tell authors/publishers that use the ACX platform...

Folks using ACX basically have their titles automatically entered into the cue for sync and can no opt out. I'm sure it's a more complex contractual issue when it comes to titles from audiobook publishing houses.
