Curious, I checked Christianbook. I wondered if they might have the book on sale, too. I couldn't find the ebook; I couldn't even find the (physical) book.

I hadn't thought about it before, but I wondered if Christianbook sells any of Kregel's ebooks. I checked, and they do. I thought that they sold at least some of their physical books and, after checking, I found that they do sell them as well. Why they don't sell this one seems inexplicable. It's certainly not because it has poor ratings--it has 4.8 stars at Amazon.

I don't see any way to "purchase" the book and download it, only a way to read it on Google Play's reader.

If you only see a “Read” button on the right-hand side (presuming you see any button at all, which does not appear on geo-restricted titles) while logged in, that usually means you already got it during a previous round of freebie-ization (or a sale).
