Where's a Voyage's Serial number?

Ummmm .... where is the serial number on my Kindle Voyage? I'm trying to go talk to Alf.

Oh, looks like Amazon knows what it is (on "manage my devices" page). That'll do. But shouldn't the kindle itself be able to tell me?

Yes... go to Settings under Menu (the three lines in the top right hand corner, or at least that's what I call it?) , press menu again, press Device Info.

The K3 is just menu/settings to discover the SN but it's been menu/settings, menu/device info at least since the original PaperWhite. The Kindle Touch was probably the same but I never owned a KT, so I don't know for sure.

The K4 was my previous device. And I googled for the info, but Wikipedia didn't have it. I did a search here, but got too many hits in the regular forum. ("Voyage serial" got me info about the jailbreak path - soldering the serial line, which I didn't want, plus a ton of single hit responses.) Is there a search term in our own Wiki page? I guess I don't know how to use that; sorry.

Try the user guide link on this page. Download, then open the pdf and search for "serial number" and you will find "Chapter 5 - Settings" which shows how to find your device serial number.
