Denis Johnson - Jesus' Son

I just finished reading *Denis Johnson's Jesus' Son* collection of short stories. It's been around a while so you may have read a couple of the stories in various 'best of' anthologies -- Emergency and Car Crash while Hitchhiking are much published, but the other stores are just about as good and there really isn't a bad story in the book, but couple get pretty steam-of-drug-consciousness strange. He'd definitely got a way with a sentence and I found myself admiring how he narrated the work. Some incredibly beautiful and visual images almost like painting with words in places. There were numerous times/sentences that made me laugh out loud! I particularly enjoyed the final story - Beverly Home. I give it 5 of 5 stars. Great stuff! Read it!
