Alignment of icons and emblems

Is there any way to align the icons (in a custom column, no text) and the emblems (under the cover in grid view) to the center?

I've tried using a dummy transparent icon to "push" the icons to the right but it seems that Calibre doesn't support a transparent .png - am I right?

I don't know if it works for an icon column... but if you right click on the column heading there is a selection for "Change text alignment for column name." Then select: left, right, or center.

No. Icons are aligned left.

I just made a transparent PNG and used it as the first icon. It works fine.

My guess is that you are using "choose more than one icon", in which case the order that the icons are painted is not defined. The transparent icon could easily come after the non-transparent one(s). To avoid this use the "composed icon" rules, in which case the rules are evaluated in the order they appear so the transparent icon can always come first.

Of course, if the column contains only an icon then you could add the margins to the icons that can appear in that column
