Remove underscore when exporting from library

Is it possible for me to change the underscore that is used when saving a book to disk to either a space or a hyphen?

example:

Series1: Book 2: Title be default becomes Series1_ Book 2_ Title, can I change any thing to make it either

Series1 Book 2 Title or Series1 - Book 2 - Title?

The underscores are created to replace characters that are unsafe in filenames. You can use the template function mode to replace such characters yourself in the save temple.

I currently am using

{author_sort}/{series}/{series_index:0>3s} - {title}/{#origfile}

I am not sure what I would need to do to replace the underscores with what I suggested.

Your sample has 2 spaces in a row (would be hard to see in the template)
Series1_ Book 2_ Title
calibre is fixing one space with the _ so there are not 2 in a row

That does not match with the template you then show in the previous post
{author_sort}/{series}/{series_index:0>3s} - {title}/{#origfile}
Author/Series1/Book 002 - Title/#origfile

note: I see 3 folders, then the book file?

You'd need to use one of the functions described here:

http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/template_lang.html

Probably re() to replace all special characters such as colons, trailing periods, slashes, etc. in each path segment.
