Content Kindle Touch 7 - Goodreads integration

Hi. I've bought Kindle recently. Really, I'm glad I've chosen this hardware, but soft, well, disappoints me. I buy ebooks from online bookstores and, since I'm basing on Goodreads recommendations (works great!), I really miss integration with this service. I've tried using Calibre - downloaded book from Kindle, added Goodreads identifier to ID list and uploaded - but this operation causes loss of notes sync.
Is there any way to fix that? Thank you in advance.

Correct -- you cannot get Goodreads integration at the same time as notes sync.

Amazon wants you to use those features with books you buy from them, and our hacky workarounds are not 100% perfect.

Many thanks for your reply! Really, I'm kind of person who loves to have an integrated ecosystem - I don't care if I use amazon, dropbox or another cloud drive.
Which approach is the best?
Amazon has email-to-kindle feature, also sync of notes and bookmarks is one great option.
Calibre library allows you to integrate books with Goodreads, customize covers/descriptions - books look great, but it seems to be unstable (I'm not sure if Amazon will support sync of the last page read)

I read tons of articles, but many of them are just outdated - my software 5.6.2.1 looks completely different from what can be seen in articles.

The Kindle Goodreads integration is not something I have ever tried, but I have heard it isn't as good as t could've been.

If you are fine doing your Goodreads tracking from calibre rather than on the Kindle itself, I wold opt for the the annotations sync.
