Calibre will not sync with my Kindle

I have been using calibre for some time now and have never had a problem with it so I am not sure why its not working for me now. I tried everything that was suggested in the sticky above and it didn't work for me. I ran the debug and got this :

As you can see it doesn't seem to recognize that it is connected at all. I thought it was my USB cable as I have had some cables that will charge but won't support a data connection. I replaced the USB cable with one purchased from Amazon for the Kindle. Can someone please help me figure out what is going on?

Edit: I got it to work. Turns out that the kindle had an update that I kept ignoring by turning the wifi off. Once updated and rebooted it worked fine.

Actually it does, as a MTP device.

The question is why it is being ignored.
A new release of the Fire?
Have you Restarted (cold booted) the Fire?

Your device is reporting it has no available storage. Usually rebooting both the Kindle and your computer fixes this.
