Calibre conversion cuts lines
Hi,
I have a kindle with 3.4 firmware (? FW?) and Calibre 2.31, Windows 7. When I convert an Amazon azw book to a pdf using Calibre, the Courier font lines get cut off, i.e. they do not continue onto the next line. This does not happen for the other typeface in the book. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening and how I might fix it, please? Thanks very much for any assistance. Jack. |

Its because that section of text is probably not reflowable, it is a code sample or such inside a <pre> tag. There is now way to fix that short of editing the source book to make the text reflowable.

ePub
Hi Kovid,
Thanks for the info. I have discovered that converting to ePub first then to pdf seems to alleviate the problem. I can't say it fixes it entirely as I haven't done enough testing, but it looks to be at least a partial solution. Cheers. Jack. |
