Amazon Mexico

I wrote Amazon and asked why I couldn't order a Kindle, a Kindle Paperwhite 3, or a Kindle Voyage shipped to me in Mexico. They haven't responded yet but I heard a rumor of Amazon.com.mx and went and looked. Bingo! They are there. I ordered a Paperwhite 3 to replace my Paperwhite 1. It costs a bit more because of taxes but I'm happy.

I checked and I can also get a Voyage if I wanted another one.

I enjoy living in Mexico but it looks like delivery on my PW3 will take a little longer than if it were being delivered from the U.S.

Welcome to living in Mexico where everything tech is hard to find and twice expensive, now we have amazon since the first of this month, before that if you wanted a kindle you had to sell your kidney to get it here. (and i know that very well i have had every kindle that amazon sells)

I still have two kidneys. My sister visits every winter so most of my Kindles arrived at her house in the fall and my house mid-winter. I did order two Paperwhites from the U.S. and they arrived in Oaxaca within three days. Amazing.

Yes, stuff is more expensive in Mexico. But, I spend more on income tax in the U.S. each year than I spend to live in Mexico.

Are you at risk of losing a kidney because you live in Mexico?

No. BZImage said, "Welcome to living in Mexico where everything tech is hard to find and twice expensive, now we have amazon since the first of this month, before that if you wanted a kindle you had to sell your kidney to get it here. I bought my first Kindle, a Kindle Keyboard, from Mexico and five others since and I still have both of my kidneys.

Don't you guys have forwarding companies like Aerocasillas that will provide you a US address and forward to Mexico? I brought my Voyage from Costa Rica that. It only cost about $6 for the shipping (three days from Miami to the post office in my very rural town), and the 13% taxes Costa Rica charges on this type of item. We don't have our own Amazon site, and I highly doubt that we ever will.

Good luck in the Copa Oro.
