Web site for reading Kindle books

Here is the problem:

I typically read my kindle books with my employer provided berry, which is fine but there is problem. The battery stinks and its often re-charging so I need a way to read my kindle books while the battery is charging. Also my employer will not allow me to download and install anything.

Solution: read.amazon.com, allows me to log on and read my kindle books while my berry is charging.

Why don't you read books on your Kindle PW2 (the one that your profile says you have)?

Are you not allowed to have your kindle at work. I always travel with my kindle. Even if I am just going to get a haircut or to the doctors office.

True, this is a trial arragement, I have not made up my mind which way I want to go.

The purpose of this post has been to tell forum members about a web site not debate my reading practices.

What you actually said was that you needed a way to read your books while your phone is charging, hence my question about why you didn't read them on your Kindle PW.

I strongly suspect that most of us already knew about the Cloud reader.

And "website for forum members" is a strange way of titling that. I modified it slightly, in the hope that more people will understand what the thread is about and thus click through to the thread itself.

Although as HarryT said, many/most of us knew about it already, there was at least one (you) who didn't -- perhaps someone else who didn't know yet will see this thread and learn something.

I can't stand reading long on the computer. The only time I don't have my Kindle with me is when I go grocery shopping at Sam's Club and then if I have to wait for my friend I read on my Nexus 5. That's okay for a half-hour.

I've bought a book and then clicked "read it right now in your browser" (paraphrased) ... so I knew I could google for "amazon cloud reader" and read a book in a browser .... but I didn't know the actual web address of it till now. I doubt I'll remember it, but at least I've seen it now!
