Lightbulb Book Kit - Building better ebooks

Hi,

I'm starting a framework for building books based on a sass build system.

The project aims to help the development taking advantage of the most recent web technologies (css preprocessors, build tools, etc.) while applying effective and beautiful design principles for typography rythm and scale.
The general idea is to provide a framework akin to bootstrap or foundation with a very narrow focus on ebook creation.

Some of the work is inspired and based on:
Once the framework achieves a beta milestone, I'd like to integrate it with the calibre editor, this would allow to build much more robust books as well as convert existing ones. Since sass is based on variables it would make changing and editing books, or applying formatting templates a lot simpler.

For now the project is merely in the early stages of building, testing and all-round scavenging for any piece of technology that furthers the goal along.

I welcome anyone that wants to embark on this journey. I would welcome help both on developing the html and sass, ideas and existing projects that further the project vision, epub standards, building and testing epubs or providing any welcome insights into the going project going.

Contribution
The project will be located on Github - Book Kit on Github - no files for now
