eReader with audio + android?
Im looking for a simple ereader with an audio jack and the ability to run android (or at minimum android apps).
Basically I just want to be able to read books, browse wikipedia, while listening to music. The ability to take notes would be great too with some kind of stylus or bluetooth keyboard. Primarily looking for the smaller size ones and I dont mind if its a bit slow - I want something cheap with great battery life. |

Look at devices from Boyue (such as T62) or Onyx Boox (such as T68, C67ML). Both have devices that run Android and have audio jacks. Can't think of any other manufacturers out there.

Personally, though, I think that a combination of a dedicated eInk reader and a Smartphone for web browsing and music is a far better idea. |

I have a great smartphone but I run into battery life issues playing too much music with it.
Are there any older models that might also have audio functionality and possibly android support? I dont mind buying used. |

It's based on Android, yes, but generally when people talk about "Android devices" they mean a device that you can install apps on, which is not the case with the Sony. The T1 was a nice enough reader in its day, but that day was long ago, and it fares poorly when compared against modern readers. Screen technology has moved on a lot since its day.

Right now I think Im pretty much set on the T62+ as it has all the features I want plus the new Carta screen
is 1024 x 768 enough or am I going to want a 300 DPI screen? My friends Kobo HD looks really nice with the 300. Finally I noticed theres a lot of different firmwares for this device - is the Energy version any better? I plan on probably rooting this thing too |
