File size does not match with those specified at Amazon website

I just bought this ebook from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V6I565O

According to the link above, the file size is supposed to be 400 MB but the actual file size in my KPW 1 is only about 40 MB. Why the discrepancy?

The ebook seems to be fine but I can't be so sure this is a huge book with lots of images.

If you look down on the right-hand side in the comments, someone gave the book a 1-star review with a warning "Buyer beware: this is the TEXT ONLY version of the "illustrated" commentary."

The publisher has just updated the ebook version.

The ebook seems to have the pictures and hyperlinking but I can't be so sure if all the pictures from the printed version are in the ebook version and why the file size is different from those specified in the website.

I thought possibly Amazon just listed the file size incorrectly, and looked for an epub version that included the size. Never realized that file size is not a common feature on most ebook seller sites!

I found this link for an Overdrive Library here.

They list it as over 300,000KB, which is more or less consistent with the Amazon size. It might be worth emailing Amazon customer service to ask about your download.

If a book is updated, you will not automatically get the updated version. You need to go to Manage Your Content and Devices, and update the book.

Sounds like the book might have gotten just such an update, probably shortly after you bought it, hence the larger filesize listed on the website. The product page presumably shows the size of the latest version.
