Lost Quality Frontcover or Backcover after converting

When I have a good front and backcover or another picture in/for the book there is quality lost after converting.

You can see this when you have letters on a picture in the ebook.

How to get the same quality before and after converting the ebook?

Choose the tablet output profile in the page setup section of the conversion dialog. Then conversion will not resize images.

Conversion from-to the same format should keep an ORIGINAL_FMT, fortunately. This can be restored, and will also be used as the basis of new conversions.

But when i convert a book i lost quality of photo`s not size but quality.

Before conversion and then After conversion i see this.

Before

How i get the same output as input after conversion? Makes he always a page_styles.css?
The book was first 1.2 mb but after the conversion the book is mayby 0.7 mb big.

If you run a conversion, then there will always be differences between the input and output.

Have you set the tablet profile yet? Has that solved the problem of image quality loss? Do not forget that when reconvert a book after changing the global settings then you need to tell Calibre not to use the stored values for that book if you want to revert to using the current global settings.
