I just encountered a problem with Smashwords....[SOLVED]

.....here it is:

META-INF/calibre_bookmarks.txt' in EPUB not listed in manifest!

Can someone please explain this in English and what I would need to do to fix it.

Open the epub using the calibre viewer under preferences Miscellaneous options uncheck:

Code:

Keep a copy of bookmarks/current page inside the ebook file, for easy sharing

to not have this problem in the future
Open your epub using the calibre editor and delete calibre_bookmarks.txt, close and save.

Resubmit to Smashwords.

Two steps:

Prevent this from happening. Disable the option in calibre eBook viewer to store reading location in the ePub.
Open the epub in either sigil or calibre editor and drop the file

In checking further, I found out that the issue was due to cover size requirements. -- My cover wasn't big enough!

Question: What does unchecking the option do?

Unchecking the option in the calibre viewer means the calibre_bookmarks.txt file will not be created. Validators sometimes choke on it, and it is only useful to save reading location when moving books to another computer with calibre installed.
