When Mark Kincaid accepted a job offer to keep Nora Niall safe, he never thought that his life will be in danger, nor did he think that he would begin to like her.

One day, while Mark was trailing Nora, someone almost run him over with a bike. He was able to dodge it, but the biker went to chase after Nora. Because of this, Mark was forced to reveal his identity to Nora.

Nora is shocked upon learning that someone paid Mark to guard her. Although she detested Mark at first, she later on found his presence comforting. As Nora and Mark became comfortable with each other, Mark wondered if this time around, love would still be elusive or if the threat to both their lives would seal the affection that started blossoming between them.
