Is anyone here interested in such a mobile plan. Seem interesting with all you can text and call for $20.00. And $10 for every 1gb of data. The best thing is if you don't use that data you get the money refunded in the next bill.

i may check it out when the service is actually out. i heard about this about a month ago and the fact that you could send calls to any device with hangouts installed is a definite plus. imagine taking calls on an ipod touch (reliably, that is). the article never mentioned making calls from non-phone devices though.

It sounds kinda interesting. It's certainly much cheaper than what I pay now with T-Mo. I'll be interested to see how the Nexus 6 users like this service.

Unfortunately the Nexus 6 has only 32/64 GB models with no micro SD slot. Everybody wants you to stream music, which doesn't work so well when you're driving cross country west of the Mississippi.

That's what I was thinking. I'm not buying a $700 phone, but 64 (or even 32) Gigs of memory could definitely store enough songs to get you across the country.

Fi is supposed to work on your PCs and tablets. I have no idea how well it will work and there's not a lot of detail about it yet -- but your supposed to be able to seamlessly move from one device to another.

Yes, about 9000 songs or 800 CDs, assuming you don't also have a lot of apps, maps, and videos. With an external SD card slot, one can have several cards, for example, one that's mostly videos, another that's all music, etc. 64GB micro SD cards are cheap, too. I paid $25 for one recently, and that's without doing any comparison shopping.

Steep startup cost

The service sounds like a good deal but having to buy a $650.00 - $700.00 phone (unless you happen to own one already) to use the service is a high cost to pay. Maybe Google is trying to boost sales of the Nexus 6. In the end it would cost me more than I am paying now.
