Hi,

Could someone explain what is the procedure to delete duplicate collections? How is made using caliber and using plugins?

Kobo Touch 3.11.0 FW, Calibre 2.26

You have to use KoboUtilities plugin for Calibre.

The plugin can be installed in the Preferences->Get Plugins to Enhance Calibre.

From the KoboUtilities drop down->Database->Fix Duplicate Shelves.

Hi RZetlin,

Thanks for the tip. I have a question: When I bought my Kobo Touch reader I made a few collections (shelves) following this pattern: Name Last Name of the author. Later, I changed my mind and implemented this pattern: Last Name, Name.

I erased all the old collections (shelves) and everything was running without problems. Recently I made a sincro (wifi sincro) and all the old collections (Name + Last Name) appeared again. And worse, it is not possible delete them.

Do you think it possible that KoboUtilities can repair the database?

Kobo Utilities will get rid of the shelves; just make sure you DON'T select the purge option and DO sync with Kobo via WiFi to ensure that the deletions are propagated back to Kobo.
