WiFi with WPA/WPA2 enterprise on PocketBook 626 does not work

Hi,

I have a problem with wifi. I have updated software and currently my PocketBook Lux 2 works on W626.5.8.292 (date: 20150701_153010).

I was connecting to eduroam wifi which uses WPA/WPA2 enterprise security method. Unfortunately I am not able to set this kind of method when I try to configure wifi. Also after upgrade, my wifi network settings were removed.

Is there any way to fix that apart from downgrading firmware?

First thing I'd try is an upgrade to the 5.9 version of the firmware that came out last week. There is a new update wizard in this firmware that may or may not help you to configure your wifi.

I've also tried the latests. I wrote to PocketBook support and apparently they switched this off because it did not work correctly..
I am wondering if it is possible to rebuild firmware image and switch it on again. In the end this worked with wpa_supplicant.

The latest pocketbook devices have never been rooted. The best you can do is install one of the older firmware versions, if WiFi worked there. They have five versions of the firmware for the Touch Lux 2 on their website.
