Aura Pinch and zoom not working as well on Aura with latest firmware update

Has anyone else noticed a deterioration in the performance of the pinch and zoom feature on the Aura? I recently updated mine to version 3.12.1, and now it's very difficult to control the pinch and zoom. Sometimes pinching slightly results in a big increase in font size; more often, the zooming seems to lag well behind the pinch-or-spread action so that you have no idea what sized font you're going to end up with when you release the screen.

I found it best to just disable pinch and zoom in Settings. It's not worth the hassle, IMHO.

Since the posting above, I've found that it works better if you pinch vertically. It's still not as good as before, and I may well end up doing what you did, 46jimbo. I think the problem is that they don't properly suppress full screen refreshes while the pinch operation is going on.
