Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/DRM-free) ReLaunch: How to Stage a Comeback [Xtian Business]
ReLaunch: How to Stage an Organizational Comeback by Dr. Mark Rutland is his business management institutional turnaround advice book giving both general reorganization and leadership tips, as well as specific case examples of church reorganizations that he participated in, free courtesy of Christian publisher David C. Cook.
I had a quick look inside this and even though the case examples are for various churches, the overall tone and content of this is generally non-"inspirational" and includes many practical tips, so perhaps more secularly-inclined Gentle Readers might also find some useful insights in this. This has previously been offered free in 2013. Currently free, probably just for the rest of the day @ B&N (also UK), Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians), ChristianBook (DRM-free ePub available to selected countries), can be added to your library @ BookShout (online reading & in-app download), and might also be free in other venues listed on the publisher's webcatalogue page. Description A church in deep debt with attendance down by the thousands. A college that had lapsed into a coma, its buildings in shambles, its faculty demoralized, its enrollment at rock bottom. A university facing lawsuits, scandal, and near-bankruptcy. Each situation involved different financial needs, different lost dreams, different personal wounds. But they each had one thing in common: each needed a leader who could restore hope, vision, and viability. Dr. Mark Rutland has led three institutional turnarounds over the past twenty-five years. He has seen organizations that were dying come to new life. And he knows the steps you need to take right now. How do you know what to do to help your church or organization make it, even when circumstances and personnel challenges seem too much to handle? Here are the answers. As Dr. Rutland writes, the true leader can say, “This book is for the rugged visionaries who see in the wreckage a hope for the future and are willing to pay the price for a relaunch.” |
