3G on iLiad?

Hello everyone.

I'm looking around, and eventhough the iLiad is the most expensive, it seems to be the best. There is one thing I'm not clear about: I have a 3G+ USB key which requires a program to be installed for it to be used. VMC seems partially compatible with Linux ([URL="http://www.vodafonebetavine.net/web/linux_drivers"]), but will it work on iLiad?

And if I connect through the USB an external hard drive, can I transfer from the HD to the internal memory or into a card that is connected at the same time?

And what is the web experience? Is it acceptable on Hotmail or Yahoo? I'd really like an eBook of some kind, but it needs to be able to be used to check e-mails on the go. And if I can use 3G instead of Wi-Fi, well, that's €100 saved!

1. Looks like it's possible to use an USB 3G modem. Have a look at this thread.
2. This is not possible at the moment.
3. I don't have any experience with Yahoo or Hotmail, so I don't know about this one.

That's great I hadn't found it, many thanks!

Well, that's it, I've ordered an iLiad Book Edition.

3G on iliad? That's cool. I have the USB 3G datacard. I'll try if it can work on iliad.

yep - you have to compile the kernel with new options (and you need the userspace programs)
