Issue with metadata input and searching

This might be a ridiculous question, but I've recently transferredby calibre to a new computer. When i type in metadata, e.g. tags, looking for ones I've already used, they only show up when I type them in correctly. I used to be able to type something and it would look for what I'd typed in anywhere along the phrase.For example, say I already had the tag Theme: Transgender. Previously this one would show up if I typed 'trans' or 'gender' or anything like that in the field. Now I have to type 'Theme:' or 'Theme: Trans' or it won't show up. Is there aything I can to do to change this? I apologise for the poor explanation!

I don't remember this ever being possible.

Preferences->Tweaks->Completion mode when editing
