Boomerang: A Boomerang Novel by Noelle August is the redundantly-subtitled 1st in in her eponymous trilogy of f/m New Adult contemporary romances centred around the eponymous online dating service, this installment involving two of its summer interns who are not only in competition for the only remaining internship job that will exist at the end of summer (so very Highlander: There Can Be Only One, though this probably involves fewer decapitations of the non-euphemistic headhunting sort), but also fall for each other in contravention of the service's "don't mix business and pleasure" anti-fraternization rules, free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins' William Morrow imprint.

This is one of the handful of non-self-pub New Adult 1st-in-series promo freebies featured in the iTunes store which has begun to trickle into other venues as well. And it's also apparently being made free to promote the upcoming 3rd-in-series, which is slated for August.

Currently free, probably just as long as the iTunes promo lasts @ Amazon UK, iTunes UK, and Kobo (probably just for the UK; I did a spot-check of the usual EU/Oceania regional Amazon & iTunes stores where the UK freebies sometimes also go free, but this doesn't seem to be available in any of them, though YMMV, and it is on promo for $2.99 in the US). B&N UK price-drop-check convenience linkage, in case you're feeling optimistic.

Pretty much by default, but this won over the comedically awkward college dating romance for the deliciousness of being set at a dating service that disallows in-house dating amongst its employees. The irony*, it tickles!

† Admittedly, Morissette completely misunderstands (or at least misapplies) what ironic actually means, but at least she's trying to incorporate some notion of edutaining the popular dissemination of literary techniques into her songs.
